Welcome to my little strand of the web. My husband, Doug Sahlin and I own Doug Plus Rox Photography . We are located in Florida’s Sarasota County in the beautiful little Gulf coast town of Venice. This is where I come to share some of my images and thoughts.

I am a graphic artist turned photographer and my images often reflect a melding of both of these creative worlds. For me photography is about reaching out and grabbing a unique, fleeting moment in time that can be revisited time and time again so that even though it is gone it is far from forgotten. My images are a tapestry of my life-a weave of images special to me. Some of these are landscapes that I could not bear to leave behind. Others are portraits which I wanted to create to share the inner beauty that I see shining so brightly within my subject. All photography is a story whether it is the intensity of a competitive sporting event, the joy of a wedding, the small details of a location or the life of wildlife or our beloved pets-they all have their story. My passion is using my photography and post processing tools to record these “pieces of life” as I see them.
